AESI Inc. and n-Dimensions Inc. have partnered to provide security assessments of the Smart Meter pilot projects currently underway by the Ontario Utilities Smart Meter (OUSM) working group. OUSM currently comprises 44 active, cooperative LDC participants who have made significant progress in developing a complete in-depth understanding of the Smart Metering Initiative. The security assessments will contribute to this goal and will assist LDCs in their selection of the appropriate Smart Meter technologies. The need for security features is a major requirement in the Ministry of Energy’s functional specifications for Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI). |
