Security Assessment Milestone for OUSM Pilot

AESI and n-Dimension Solutions delivered the first of a set of security assessments to the Ontario Utilities Smart Meter (OUSM) working group for Smart Metering Pilot Projects currently underway.

OUSM comprises 44 active, cooperative LDC participants who have made significant progress in developing a complete in-depth understanding of the Smart Metering Initiative. The security assessments will contribute to this goal and will assist LDC’s in the selection of Smart Meter technologies. The need for security features is an important requirement in the Ministry of Energy’s functional specifications for Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI).
